Bachelor of Science.
Jogender (Jogi) Tushir-Singh, Ph.D. · Associate Professor, UC Davis School of Medicine
Jogender Tushir-Singh studies how engineered antibodies and immune-cell signals engage cancer-cell death receptors. His laboratory has worked on Fas/CD95, DR5, TIGIT/CD155 and plasmin in ovarian and other solid-tumor models.
His training spans epithelial cell signaling, PIWI/piRNA biochemistry and industrial antibody discovery. He established the Laboratory of Novel Biologics at the University of Virginia in 2015 and moved it to UC Davis in September 2021. The current UC Davis appointment is in Medical Microbiology and Immunology, with affiliations in Gynecologic Oncology and the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

UC Davis reports that the loss of his grandmother to ovarian cancer shaped his interest in the disease. His program applies antibody humanization, bispecific formats and protein design to death-receptor biology and the different responses of T-cell therapies in solid and liquid tumors.
